OpenCms User Groups have been founded on Facebook and Xing. These groups are open for users, developers, solution providers, customers and all people otherwise interested in OpenCms. They are places to exchange thoughts, ideas and information regarding OpenCms in a social network.

Alexander Kandzior, CEO of Alkacon Software and leading OpenCms core developer, will discuss the rise of open source software and the death of proprietary CM with focus on OpenCms at the Online Information Conference 2007 in London, UK.

OpenCms has been nominated as one of the final systems in this years edition of the Packt Publishing award for the best open source CMS. [Update October 31, 2007]: Unfortunately OpenCms did not win the Award. Anyway, we believe that even being nominated is a big success already.
